The banquette

I even love the name of this piece. Banquette. There was a huge unwanted space in our kitchen that would be perfect for a….Banquette!

This obviously was the before shot. But after we redid the countertops and cabinets we knew the next project was this corner space. So off my hard working hubby goes to grab supplies. Total price of wood was about $100.

You’ll notice I also started painting the grout white. I painted the area where the banquette would be so it would have a seamless look when the banquette was finished. Because the black grout had to go.
The base is now finished. All that’s left to add is trim.
Now time to paint!
It’s all painted and ready for finishing touches…

And here it comes, the final reveal….

😌 Oh how I love how it turned out! The table is from Facebook Marketplace for free and the chairs I found curbside while driving to work ….Score! The pillows are from At Home, including the flower vase and sign. And the table runner is a gift from my mama. 🥰 The walls are Benjamin Moore Dove Wing and the trim is Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige.
